NEW RESIDENCE, BEDFORD NY
This new residence sits nestled in the fields, hidden from the main farm house by the existing early 20th c. (still working) barn. The house consists of three connected barn structures: the main open kitchen and living space; the primary suite with a cozy separate study; and the garage with a guest suite above. The solar panels power tesla powerwalls. Completed 2022.

This project, completed in the spring of 2020, focussed on much needed updates to the kitchen and family spaces of an iconic Greek Revival home with a long and rich history. We renovated the entire back of the house including the kitchen and family room, created a new mudroom, laundry room, pantry and bar - and added sets of oversize french doors to make a stronger connection to the outdoors.

Completed in 2019, we transformed an existing house in surfside into a year round family compound. Adding a new first floor master wing, an additional guest room in the main house and a new pool and pool house with a guest room created additional beds and social gathering spaced - inside and out. We also added a new two bay garage for cars, bikes and surfboards.

This 1760’s house has had many lives - as a family homestead, an inn, a tavern, a general store, and a tea house just to name a few. The current owners were the perfect ones to create its next life - as a fun, functional, modern family home that would show off their modern art collection. We restored the historic shell, stripping out the more recent changes to the interiors an upgrading everything from mechanicals to structure.

This 2014 renovation of a 1790s house in Bedford Village was part historic renovation, part update and part new addition. In the existing house we reworked bedrooms to create a gracious, multiple room master suite with an office for her, a shared dressing room with a fireplace, and a new master bath. Downstairs we restored the formal entertaining rooms, expanded and updated the kitchen with pantry, bar, and ample light, and added a family room addition with an indoor outdoor fireplace that backs up to the new patio.
We also built a new carriage house with two car bays, storage, a covered port cochere and his office and a gym upstairs. This was connected to the existing house by a new mudroom.

This 2017 project created a fresh and modern pool house from a dated cottage by removing several additions and simplifying it down to it’s original form. We also built a new garage with storage below that ties the pool back to the main house and created new outdoor seating areas and spaces hidden behind this in town 1790’s historic home.

This 2007 project created the next chapter for this 1790’s house. The original colonial home from 1794 was expanded in the 1860s by moving a victorian house to the site and connecting the two. This project focused on restoring the original 18th century interiors and renovating the more recent 19th century spaces to create a new and open kitchen and family area, with a new master suite above.
